How many days do you need in Yilan?

One day from Taipei covers one end of the county. Two days covers the plain from Toucheng to Luodong, and three adds Taipingshan or Su'ao and Nanfang'ao.

Can you see Yilan without a car?

Yes. The train links Toucheng, Jiaoxi, Yilan City, Luodong and Su'ao, and the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle reaches the Traditional Arts Center, the Jiaoxi waterfalls and the coast. A car helps most for Taipingshan.
